Curaçao on the international stage: Caribbean Series and Serie de las Américas

February 10, 2026

The Curacao Professional Baseball was built to give the island a place among the professional winter circuit of the Caribbean — and every CPB champion has done exactly that.

In 2024, the inaugural champion Curaçao Suns represented the island at the Caribbean Series in Miami, the first time the tournament was played at a MLB ballpark. The Suns went 3–3 and finished fourth, Curaçao's best result at the event to date.

In 2025, the Curacao Goats took the island's berth at the Serie de las Américas in Nicaragua, facing club champions from across Latin America in Managua, Masaya and León.

And in 2026, the Willemstad Cannons — fresh off their first CPB title — carried Curaçao's colors to the Serie de las Américas in Caracas, Venezuela, opening play against Argentina at Estadio Monumental.

Three seasons, three champions, three international appearances. The pipeline from Willemstad to the biggest stages in Caribbean baseball is firmly established.
